Phil Baroni’s latest knockout

July 13th, 2008

Last night, Phil Baroni took to the UK as part of Cage Rage 27. Baroni didn’t need too long to overwhelm British born Scott Jansen on his home soil. Baroni used a right hook to rattle Jansen’s cage more than halfway through the first round. The shot left Jansen unconscious inside the cage. For Baroni, the victory could be the first step back to prominence. Check out the entire Baroni vs. Jansen match-up that took place last night in London, England.

MMA organizations of the UK face off

July 11th, 2008

This weekend, two home grown British mma organizations will go toe to toe. Cage Warriors is looking to becoming the leading mma organization in the UK as its rival Cage Rage has been rumored to be scaling down the size of its venues. Both organizations will present Saturday night events that will take place opposite one another.

Early on, it looks as though Cage Warriors may be leading the way. Its main event will feature a match-up between Paul ‘Semtex’ Daley and Bojan ‘Zelva’ Kosednar. Although they are not exactly household names across the globe, it may turn out a much more gripping main event than anything Cage Rage has to offer.

MMA Weekly runs down the entire fight card for the Cage Warriors event
and shares some thoughts and how the night will unfold.
